Requirement
All of the following must be true:
- The hand is completely closed (no open calls)
- You win by drawing the winning tile yourself (tsumo)
Meaning
A basic yaku granted when a closed hand wins by self-draw. The non-dealers each pay half the points, while a dealer win charges all players equally.
It is one of the simplest and most common yaku, often appearing naturally in efficient closed-hand play.

Riichi / Pinfu / Tanyao / Iipeikou / Dora-heavy hands
Cannot combine
Any open-hand yaku (since the hand must be completely closed)
