- Pair is a non-value tile (not seat wind, round wind, or dragons)
- Winning on a two-sided wait (ryanmen)
- No extra fu from waits or pair (only base 20 fu)
Meaning
A “no-points” all-sequence hand with a two-sided wait.
Very common, efficient yaku that often forms the base of fast, flexible hands.

Riichi / Tanyao / Iipeikou / Dora-heavy hands / Menzen Tsumo
Cannot combine
Yakuhai / Toitoi / Chiitoitsu / Hands with a value-pair or non–two-sided waits (edge, closed, single waits)
